Day 33 train, chocolate, postage, crisps. Uh my diet is terrible!
Day 34 train and takeaway
Day 35 train
Day 36 train and takeaway again, uh! Going on holiday for a week! Will try to be as Compact as possible!
Day 37 - bought non perishable food for when we get back. Made soup to freeze. M-u-s-t cut back on takeaway! Had lunch from bakery and recyled paper bags. Got hummous for making sandwiches for travelling, services food costs a fortune and is a nightmare for a vegan. I am nervous about where we are staying, hope it is ok or I will *so* be in dog house!
Thought for the day; nobody preaches like the newly converted; "atheist gospel".
Day 38 - holidays, had a good drive except for being stuck on the A64 for over an hour due to a crash and investigation. The appartment was better than I had imagined and was loverly. It had an ensuite and a 'kitchen' with sink and kettle and a fridge, so we drank tea until it came out of our ears, well almost :)
Day 39 - holidays - lots of eating out, but sticking to the compact.
Day 40 secular lent! Just 325 days to go!
Day 41,
Day 42,
Day 43,
Day 44,
Day 45; So this doesn't get really long-winded I will do these days all togther,
We ate out every day at the local cafe and in most of the local pubs, who were serving home-made food and not microwave dinners like some of the big chain pubs at home serve!

We visited the Sealife centre at Scarborough, which I think is in keeping with my Vegan ideals as they are doing rescue work with seals and sea turtles. The irony of the lecture about not using plastic bags and then selling wrist bands in plastic bags to raise funds for the sea turtles didn't escape me, although I bought one and so did my bf,
it was in a good cause and included in the compact as charity donations. But hey, if it gets people to think twice!

I have been looking for a novel by Ross Resien, God's own Country, it came out this year, so I thought I might find it on ebay, but didn't expect to find it in a charity shop, but being the good compactor that I am trying to be, I had to have a look in all the charity shops in Whitby :) I'd given up all hope of finding it, but on Friday I found a 'as new' copy in Shelter! That made my week! :)

I also found an astronomy book in another charity shop, but I think I might already have it, but I can always swap it. That was all I bought all week my compacty friends!! I was pretty pleased with that, although I have spent a fortune on accomodation and food, I had a good holiday and kept to the compact.

Although I did have to drag myself away from the Emma Bridgewater crockery in a shop in RHB :-) I could just have a look on ebay.. No don't do it! You don't need it, don't need to start another collection...

Day 46: train; pastey; doh! train tickets for work, will get back; MOT for car, it passed;
Day 47: train, sandwich filling, fruit.
