I don't believe it, I have been out "greened" by my BF who is a spend-a-holic! I went through my rechargeable batteries with a battery tester, only to find that half of them have failed. So I decided to buy some new ones - you can't really get second hand batteries, so I think this is OK under the Compact. (see earlier posts)
So I looked for reviews of batteries, actually I'd seen 'The Gadget Show' review loads of batteries and the Uniross 2700mAH AA came out top. I already had 4 of these and they are good, so I got 4 more and some for my BF for Xmas, who has got himself a RC car (boys and their toys!!)
I also needed some AAA batteries, Maplin have a BOGOF offer on their AAA's at the moment, so I thought that would be a good idea. Not so according to BF. They won't last as long as the Uniross, they are cheap for a reason, etc etc. Out Greened! Damn. So this morning I went armed with my receipt to Maplin and exchanged them, much to the surprise and confusion of the shop assistant! So I now have 2 sets of AA and 2 sets of AAA batteries.
