Day 166

I had my exhaust fall off the car over summer, just after the MOT. Much to my BF disgust, I had it welded at a garage recommended by an old collegue. It was going to cost over 200 pounds to get a new catalytic converter fitted, the weld cost 40 pounds, and should last several years.

Also Compacty, I still have my very first watch, it is a hand winder, but hasn't had a strap for years. I've just ordered a red one, hand made by Freerangers from Lorica (made in England), I am going to use it as my 'dress' watch. No batteries unlike the cheap ones I am going to sell - that don't carry any sentimental value either.

Having said I didn't do very well, that's much better than I'd imagined. Room to do better next year though. I must start shopping / thinking of ideas much earlier this year. Bf has already suggested making our own cards, as I've already turned last years cards received into tags! I saved the tags I received and re-used the fancy string or ribbon.
I had loads of cards & paper left from '07 so I didn't buy any for '08. Paper needs a bit of creative thinking for this year, any suggestions ?
I have sent 2 homemade cards and will try to do better with those as I spent about 5 pounds on cards.
