Day 168

Reallised why my hair is so fluffy, the bi-carb acts as shampoo not conditioner, so I shampooed twice.
Ate takeaway from local curry house, better than cheap and nasty pub chain I suppose.
I need to buy bread to go with hummous and salad for lunch today as completely run out.

Day 169 -175

I got my red watch strap and its gorgous! My bf fitted it to my watch and restored it to its former glory.

I've taken my lunches all week except for Tuesday.

I managed to find some sweet almond oil, but still no coconut. I was really happy to find that I can buy Dr Bronner's soap from either The 8th Day or VeganStore.co.uk so I should be ok for supplies of paraben and SLS free soap! Apparently it has 18 different uses, including hair and clothes washing. I wonder how bf will take to me making own washing powder?

I am trying to keep up regular climbing, done just this week so far; but I am looking forward to getting strong (again!).

I am still not buying enough veg or bread, so need to better on that tomrrow.  Hopefully I will be able to get the last ingredient for my bath fizzies tomorrow from the local dry salters; dry salters, wow! Not sure actually how much stuff they stock now, but there is a good range of gardening and brewing supplies ;-)

Today I have bought fruit and sandwich filling for next week.

Day 176

What have I done that was 'green' today?

1. Made the guy who own's the Dry Salters think I am completly mad by asking for citric acid for bath fizzies; and 'no, they're for me, not kids!'.
2. Buying locally grown veg and proper bakery bread, still warm, hmmm.
3. Limiting supermarket shopping to necessities and finding an alternative; eg dry salters has bicarb.
4. Tried to make bath fizzies; only added too much water and they started to fizz! Think they might be ok, but not sure they're meant to set so hard  %-)
How lucky am I to have a local Dry Salters; he even has everything I need for soap making.
I am still working on the replacing shampoo & soap thing. I tried Dr Bronner's soap as shampoo today and it was ok, but I don't think I needed conditioner as hair greasy afterwards.  Perhaps I should use up conditioner first and then change shampoo.

Day 177 - didn't spend anything, despite going into supermarket with BF. Made another batch of bath fizzies and used a measuring spoon as a mould, so they're half-spheres, they look great and have set, without fizzing.

Day 178 Wear it within a year or charity shop challenge

I have set aside one side of my wardrobe for things I have worn. Once something has been worn and washed, then it goes to the left, things I haven't worn keep being pushed right, so I will be able to see what I actually use. I read that women only wear 30% of their clothes, so I have set myself a challenge, wear it or rehome it! Hmm, must look out for the clothes swap at 8th Day.
