Compact day 221, and counting!

Yesterday I went to my first clothes swap, kind of a bring and buy, without the buying. The idea was to donate your unwanted clothes and to pick up something someone else had brought that you wanted. I donated 2 t-shirts, a vest top, a blouse and a pair of jeans.
I picked up a black long sleeeve t-shirt and a white long sleeve one and a scarf; to which BF said 'that will never keep you warm', ah sigh, that wasn't really the point! I was quite pleased as it was a net decrease in clothes, as I've challenged myself to 'wear it within a year or charity shop it'. I can now add or swap it.

Last week on the way home BF 'just had to' call at $tarbuck$, in a basket near the till there was 'coffee for your garden'. They pack up the used grounds and leave it for customers to take to use as compost; "green washing" I suppose, but at least its a start! I had heard it was good for keeping away those really annoying slugs, but it is also good for onion-type plants too, apparently. So we picked up the four bags that were there and BF put them on the onion plot ready for planting. (I was away visiting family last weekend). I will post how the onions get on later in the year!

I have had to invest in some 'real' shampoo, as my hair feels really greasy, clean, but greasy when I use Dr Bronner's soap on it. I know that doesn't make sense, but if you ever use soap on your hair, you'll know what I mean. I've bought 'Faith in Nature', its vegan, biodegradeable, SLS and paraben free. Not sure if its organic, but I can get the bottle refilled at 8th Day, so no plastic waste.
